Mr. Atam holds a Master of Arts in Forced Migration Studies and a Master of Management in Public and Development Management, both obtained from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa.
Mr. Atam has over 15 years of humanitarian and disaster management experience with a strong background in Public and Development Management. He has worked extensively with multiple NGOs as well as various UN agencies, specifically with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA), covering several countries across Africa and beyond. He has also acted as Humanitarian Advisor to at least seven UN Resident Coordinators. Mr. Atam has led and supported the development of legislative and strategic frameworks to many governments in the humanitarian and disaster risk reduction sphere. He is the founder and executive director of Gravitazz Continental Initiative.
